2015 Welcome Letter
Welcome to the 2015 spring season of Berlin Lacrosse. This year is shaping up to be one of the most memorable seasons as we have a lot planned for our youth program. This year’s motto is development and exposure. We have a very solid board with both returning members and many new volunteers. Our goal, as always, is development first. Our mission statement is the same as always – “Our mission is practical and achievable: create and foster a passion for the sport in a safe, developmental setting. Ensure player growth through participation. Demonstrate and encourage the highest level of sportsmanship among all participants.”
This year we have added a few specialty clinics and are organizing a “Dog Days of Summer” Berlin Lacrosse day on Saturday May 16th. Also new this year we are offering (2) BYLA scholarships. Our coaches are ready and looking forward to another great year. And apparel is once again working with American Embroidery and have made significant steps in this area. All of the details to the above can be found HERE in the 2015 BYLA Overview page.
Please remember to check the website for updates. Our practice and game schedule is listed for each team including coach's contact information. Please keep in mind that many things can cause the schedule to change, for example weather. Right now we are planning on starting the season April 1st, but with all the snow and possible flooding, we may have to postpone that if the town decides to. If you haven’t heard already from your coach you should in the next couple of days.
We can still use Volunteers to help out during the many events we have slated for this year. Whether you want a board position or can only help out here and there please let me know. A listing of current board position is listed ion the 2015 BYLA Overview page.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me. I will be making appearances throughout the year at games and practices so if you see me and have any ideas for improvement or just want to say “hello”, please stop me.
Thank you all for your support and trust in the development of your child.
